DFØ's choice of AO as their solution for course administration and competency development has helped solve challenges related to training and course organization for a large and diverse target group.
Before DFØ chose AO as their partner, they faced challenges related to effective course administration and competence development for a large and diverse target group. With over 170,000 employees in the state administration and employees in state-owned enterprises, the need to organize and offer high-quality professional courses and competence development was significant. The large number of employees spread across different geographical locations in Norway, as well as the need to provide relevant competence activities, constituted a complex task.
DFØ chose AO as their solution to streamline course administration and competency development for their employees. AO offered a comprehensive platform for managing courses, networking meetings, webinars, seminars, conferences and similar events. This solution supported their goal of delivering high-quality training and relevant content to employees across the state administration.
DFØ, the Directorate for Administration and Financial Management, has a central role in the Norwegian state administration. They are responsible for financial management, decision-making for state measures, organization and management in the state, and procurement in the public sector. With such a central role and responsibility for over 90 percent of the state administration's payroll and accounting services, DFØ played a key role in ensuring that training and competence development were handled in an efficient manner.
DFØ is the state's professional body for financial management and is responsible for delivering payroll and accounting services to a significant part of the state administration. They are also responsible for the state accounts and the state's group account system. With offices in several cities in Norway, they work actively to improve and streamline processes in the state.
DFØ chose AO as their platform for course management and competency enhancement. They implement AO, which is a standard SaaS service, and integrate it with existing systems such as Microsoft SharePoint, intranet, the Unit 4 financial system, and Link Mobility (SMS gateway). With this solution, DFØ can handle all activities towards different target groups, while meeting security requirements and privacy provisions in GDPR.
